Dr. DeFeo grew up in Kansas City and attended the University of Kansas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development. She then matriculated to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis where she earned recognition on the Dean's List and was awarded several impressive honors, including graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. DeFeo & her husband, Jim, are the proud parents of a seven-year-old, Kate, and Nicholas, who will turn 3 in May. Dr. DeFeo especially enjoys working with pediatric patients.
Dr. Vaughn Brinegar also grew up in Kansas City (yep, they're sisters) and attended the University of Kansas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology. She then matriculated to Southern College of Optometry in Memphis where she earned recognition on the Dean's List and was awarded Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Dr. Brinegar has current licensure in both Texas & Arkansas. Dr. Brinegar & her husband, Dr. Jerry Brinegar, have a toddler, Trip, who was born in Oct 2006. They are expecting twin daughters this summer!

Dr. Jerry Brinegar grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas and went to Arkansas Tech University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He also went to Southern College of Optometry and graduated with Honors. Dr. Brinegar has current licensure in both Texas & Arkansas. We are very excited that Dr. Brinegar has joined Ultimate Eye Care after 7 years of running his own practice. Dr. Brinegar enjoys all aspects of family practice optometry, especially fitting contact lenses.
